HIGHLIGHTS
Delivering Results
The strong performance for the past year took place while the Group underwent significant revamps, changes and streamlining which were regarded as the "transformation of Parkway". With sights set on specific growth goals the management set out to achieve milestones in their growth action plan.
Global Player
Internationally, the topic of patients crossing borders to get medical care - also known as medical tourism - gained much media attention. In practice, travel for medical care is not a casual decision but a complex decision made by patients, their families, physicians and insurers. Medical travel became defined as patients travel for complex medical treatment and surgery, not just to save on cost, but to get these procedures done earlier, and sometimes, to access the best specialists available in the field.
Quality Care For The Future
Integral to the Group's operational work in 2007 were activities in the pipeline for ParkwayHealth's growth as well as for the Singapore and Asian market's future health care needs.
Patient Satisfaction
Singapore hospitals continue to improve on patient care service. The Patient Satisfaction Survey escalated from 84% in Q1 to 90.9% by Q4.
Measures to Manage
ParkwayHealth's quality management teams have zealously tracked globally recognised key clinical measures throughout the year.
Moving Ahead
In early 2007, Parkway made known its intention to build new hospitals in Singapore and Asia to meet the demand of emerging demographic trends."
